Dear friends of the Women’s Forum community
This month the World Health Organization declared the spread of COVID-19 a global pandemic. Around the world, institutions, families and individuals are considering how to prevent further spread of the disease, adapt to this new reality and protect their communities. Given the unanimous advice from health authorities to limit large gatherings, we have decided not to come together physically for Women’s Forum Americas 2020. We have not taken this decision lightly, and it reflects our commitment to the safety and well-being of the Women’s Forum community globally.
At the Women’s Forum, we will of course continue to work together to prepare insights and recommendations for the G7 as well as for the G20 as planned. We will move forward to explore how we can highlight our messages and exert our influence with purpose.
The spread of coronavirus raises urgent questions for businesses, governments and international civil society on our shared responsibilities and collaborative responses to these types of challenges. Now more than ever, women’s leadership is a vital part of these discussions. Therefore, the Women’s Forum remains committed to accelerating our initiatives and projects, especially within the framework of our Daring Circles on health, climate change, AI, STEM skills and the future of work, and economic empowerment.
The time is ripe for us to come together to embrace power and purpose, to create a more sustainable and inclusive world!
I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude for your strong support and commitment.
Let’s engage for impact!
