With the 2016 Women's Forum Global Meeting just over a month away (30 Nov.- 2 Dec. in Deauville, France), we would like to take a moment to tell you about three more speakers we are delighted to have with us this year:
1. Farah Mohamed, founder and CEO of G(girls)20, is attending the 2016 Women's Forum Global Meeting as a member of the Canada Delegation. She recently met with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to present him with “13 concrete ideas on how to boost economies by investing in measures that will economically engage girls and women.” We look forward to hearing Farah discuss some of those ideas in Deauville.
2. Nang Lang Kham is Executive Director of KBZ Group and Director of KBZ Bank, one of the largest private financial institutions in Myanmar. We first met Nang in 2014, when she was instrumental in helping us launch the CEO Champions Initiative during Women's Forum Myanmar. We are looking forward to hosting her at this year's CEO Champions workshop and as one of our 2016 Rising Talents in Deauville.
3. Ben & Jerry's, one of the world's most popular makers of ice cream and a wholly owned subsidiary of the Unilever group, was recently described by Forbes as “a company that is formally committed to growing its social impact even more than its profits.” In 2012 Ben & Jerry's received B Corp Certification, the de facto gold standard for socially responsible businesses. Jostein Solheim, CEO of Ben & Jerry's Homemade Inc., will be on hand to discuss the way forward for B Corps, within the context of our Global Meeting theme, Is the sharing economy a sharing world?
As always you can find a complete list of speakers and sessions at the Women's Forum website. And if you still haven't signed up to attend, you still have time to join us!
