Paris, 8 March 2017 – At a press conference on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Women’s Forum for the Economy & Society announced that Paris will be the new home of the flagship Women’s Forum Global Meeting. The 13th annual Women’s Forum Global meeting will take place 5-6 October 2017 at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris.

“Paris is a feminine city,” explained Chiara Corazza, who recently stepped into her new role as Managing Director of the Women’s Forum. “If you want to create a manifesto for women, you do it in Paris! With 12,000 startups Paris is a city of innovation, of creativity. It is also a top candidate for the 2024 Olympic Games and 2025 Universal Expo.”

Said Women’s Forum Executive President Clara Gaymard: “This first Women’s Forum Global Meeting in Paris will be a unique platform to meet extraordinary women who are changing the world every day, and to share our ideas and solutions as well as our wisdom and courage.”

The 2017 Women’s Forum Global Meeting in Paris aims to provide unexpected encounters, “aha!” moments of discovery and inspiration, exchanging across countries and regions, sectors and orientations, generations and
genders. Building on the theme Engage for impact!, more than 2000 delegates – women and men, scientists and policymakers, business leaders and trailblazers – from more than 70 countries will address engagement as a
responsibility and an opportunity. In more than 100 sessions and workshops delegates will engage with the consequences of technological change for business and society and the implications of the new political landscape. We will address crucial questions for “smart cities”, the environment, and corporate social responsibility. Employee engagement is on the agenda, as is user engagement. The women and men who participate– role models and nextgeneration leaders – will also realize concrete benefits from workshops on personal and professional development.

This year we again proudly offer The Discovery, the Women’s Forum’s signature space for networking and highimpact small sessions co-created with partner organizations. We also welcome back Women’s Forum Happenings, workshops and special events designed to provide a return on investment for participants’ careers, business goals, and social objectives. And we showcase our popular Women’s Forum Initiatives, including CEO Champions, Women in Media, Women in Sport, and Women in Innovation. Not to mention Rising Talents, which will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2017!
