The 2017 Women's Forum Global Meeting
Daring to lead in a disrupted world
Engage for impact!
5-6 October 2017
Carrousel du Louvre, Paris, France
Yesterday we welcomed members of the French and international press to officially launch the 2017 Global Meeting of the Women's Forum for the Economy & Society. At the global headquarters of Publicis Groupe, we gave them a first glimpse into the agenda for this year's meeting and how we hope to inspire delegates to dare to lead in a disrupted world.
The location was appropriate, as we were honoured with opening remarks from Member of the Publicis Directoire, Anne-Gabrielle Heilbronner. Publicis and the Women's Forum share a commitment to diversity and women's leadership. Together, they act as an engine of transformation to actively pursue women's equality and unlock the full potential of women's expertise and leadership.
Anne-Gabrielle Heilbronner: “For women of talent, the Women's Forum is a place of inspiration. In the world we live, we need creativity and new ideas.”
From inspiration to solutions
Our goal is to bring that experience to Paris and translate it into real solutions. Whether for energy transformation, the delivery of health services to people in difficulty, integrating artificial intelligence into our workforces or using connective technologies to build new, smarter cities, the question is the same. How do we engage for impact for what kind of society we want to build? The connecting thread is understanding how to lead in a disrupted world.
This year's meeting will also include the 10th year anniversary celebration of our Rising Talents programme, an initiative that highlights global, up-and-coming talent among women. We will once again host our CEO Champions session, chaired by Publicis CEO Maurice Lévy, where senior business leaders will discuss what's needed to build the inclusive and diverse business of the 21st century. Of course, we will include our tribute to Simone Veil, a stateswoman who worked tireless for the cause of women's equality.
These events and others await you in Paris. You will see below a link to some additional materials and a more detailed programme here.
Clara Gaymard “Working together is the trademark of the Women's Forum. It's a place to meet, to share networks and strengths.”
One of the questions that we received from journalists was, why Paris? And we were pleased and excited to give an answer. Not only does this year's location make it easier for our many international participants and partners to attend, it also represents our ambition to internationalize. Much like Publicis, the Women's Forum is made in France, but we are seeking to and succeeding in having a truly international impact.
Much like our delegates, this year's group of partners is larger and more international than ever before, and we are truly excited to provide a platform for diverse points of view. They help us demonstrate that the Women's Forum is not just for women; it's a forum that brings the voices of women to the world.
Chiara Corazza: “It's impossible that in this world in transition that women wouldn't make their voices heard.”
We look forward to welcoming you to Paris and having you join the conversation that we started yesterday. Please be sure to follow our social media feeds and our hashtag #WFGM17
