Looking Toward Tomorrow's Society Together

Women's Forum Mexico is three weeks away.

Together, we will be looking towards a more inclusive and even more vibrant 21st-century economy and society. This visioning will come through debates, conversations and networking opportunities, interwoven with music, visual art, and gastronomy for an experience for both the heart and the mind.

A conference dedicated to the Unsung Heroes of Mexico
The conference is dedicated to the “Unsung Heroes of Mexico,” the many women and men who came together after the recent earthquakes to show the world their resilience and their generosity, solidarity and leadership.

We will engage our delegates in a global discussion on civic engagement.

We have worked hand-in-hand with several conferences and organizations on women's issues whose events in Mexico City were cancelled the week of the second earthquake. These include WeConnect International and Mothers Front, who will co-host sessions at Women's Forum Mexico, and ILSB (Género – Innovación – Liderazgo), who recent studies will be incorporated into the programme.

A business conference to also discuss North American economic and development issues

At a time when the United States, Canada and Mexico are renegotiating NAFTA, we are hosting Canada as our guest country and we are partnering with the Mexican Ministry for Foreign Affairs (S.R.E.), ProMexico, and the Canadian and US Embassies in Mexico, for a pre-programme on November 7th on “North American Business Development Mission for Women” (open to our delegates from the United States and Canada).

A new experience through culture

Art, culture, gastronomy and sport will also be present throughout the conference.
Without our emotional experiences and the visions of other worlds they give us, how can we define the societies in which we wish to live and change the way we run our corporations and governments? Our closing session will discuss how we can defeat stereotypes by changing the narrative of movies, a much-needed discussion after the fall of film-producer Harvey Weinstein because of his behavior.

A Nursery at Women's Forum Mexico

Two of our Mexico Rising Talents became moms recently – as have many of our delegates from last year. We want to celebrate by offering a new way for them to attend the conference with their young children. So, thanks to our partners, we will open a professional nursery throughout the conference days on 8 and 9 November and, going further, stage conversations on motherhood combined with a professional career.
Places to welcome our youngest ever delegates are limited. Please let us know as soon as you can if you would like to bring your baby to Women's Forum Mexico.

We look forward to inventing together a better future and to unleashing our individual and global leadership.

Please follow us on Twitter and Facebook and watch the tag #WFMX17 to hear the latest on our programme and learn how you can join the conversation. Our current programme is available here.
