Women's Forum Italy: How to feed the world of tomorrow?

Fighting food insecurity is a major global challenge for today and for tomorrow. Eradicating hunger was among the goals set by the UN Millenium Summit in 2000 – but that goal is still a long from being achieved. Indeed, a United Nations study found 842 million people in the world suffering from malnutrition in 2011 to 2013. This represents 14.3% of the world’s population –which nevertheless indicates huge progress over the period from 1990 to 1992, when malnutrition afflicted 23.6% of the world’s population. The UN had hoped to see the current figure cut in half again by 2015, but only South and Central Asia got near this goal. So how can we help feed the rest of the world ?
