Biography:

Ms. Hong is a Managing Director at General Atlantic LLC, a global growth equity firm. She has built GA’s Beijing office and is leading the firm’s efforts in the Emerging Market Consumer sector focusing on identifying and investing in consumer-oriented growth companies in emerging markets and helping them to grow. Ms. Hong has led or co-led a number of recent key GA investments, such as Soufun.com and Sun Art Retail Group. Prior to joining GA, Ms. Hong worked at private equity firm Warburg Pincus and management consulting firm McKinsey & Company. She received a B.S. in Finance and a Master in Management Engineering from Tsinghua University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
