Juliet SCHOR

Professor of Sociology

Biography:

Juliet Schor is Professor of Sociology at Boston College. Schor previously taught at Harvard University in the Department of Economics and the Committee on Degrees in Women’s Studies. Her books include True Wealth: How and Why Millions of Americans are Creating a Time-Rich, Ecologically Light, Small-Scale, High-Satisfaction Economy, the national best-seller The Overworked American, The Overspent American and Born to Buy. Schor is a co-founder of the Center for a New American Dream, a former Guggenheim Fellow, the 2011 winner of the Herman Daly Prize and won the 2006 Leontief Prize for Expanding the Frontiers of Economic Thought.
