WOMEN4BUSINESS TOOLKIT FOR ACTION
The Women4Business Toolkit for Action on Inclusive Sourcing is a unique set of tools to equip organisations with key information and best practices to make their supply chains diverse and gender inclusive. It highlights the strategic opportunities for businesses to take action on inclusive sourcing, as well as the benefits and positive impact they can generate for the whole economy and society.
The Toolkit is a collaborative effort; created thanks to the contributions and expertise of the Partners of the Women4Business Daring Circle. In developing the Toolkit, the group has worked collectively to address critical gaps and resolve the biggest barriers to inclusive sourcing and accelerating women’s entrepreneurship – in Europe and globally – previously revealed by partners and in our research.
The Toolkit for Action includes:
The Inclusive Sourcing Journey — a diagnostic tool to assess the maturity, reach and impact of an organisation’s supplier diversity and inclusive sourcing practices. Participants who complete the online assessment will receive benchmarked scores and a set of customised recommendations tailored to help advance their programme and practices. The Inclusive Sourcing Journey was developed with the global management consulting firm Kearney, Knowledge Partner.
The Legal Guide to Affirmative Action — a concise briefing note to equip procurement teams with high-level guidance to design affirmative action and data collection policies as part of their inclusive sourcing efforts. By highlighting practices that risk being seen as illegal positive discrimination, and ways to avoid them, the Guide empowers companies to take action in the knowledge that it is legally compliant. The Legal Guide was developed with the international law firm Clifford Chance, Insight Partner.
The Communications Guide – This publication provides practical guidance for companies and other organisations to communicate about the what, why, and how of supplier diversity and gender-inclusive sourcing. It offers key insights, best practice case studies, and actionable steps to build engagement internally, with suppliers, and with external clients and audiences.
