Francesca Donner is a US-based journalist, committed to covering women and gender from a global perspective. She is the former gender director at The New York Times where she oversaw ‘In Her Words’—a column and newsletter examining politics, economics, business, health, and culture through a gender lens. Prior to The New York Times, Francesca worked at The Wall Street Journal as a deputy editor. She has also served as an executive editor at Quartz and a digital editor at Forbes. Francesca’s work centers on the idea of making women’s voices heard. She is currently launching a women-focused media company which will put women at the center of the story—right where they belong. Francesca grew up in the U.K., and holds degrees from Brown and Stanford in the U.S.
