Description
Leila Toplic is the Chief Communications and Trust Officer at Carbonfuture, a startup building digital trust infrastructure for carbon markets. With 20+ years of experience spanning business, technology, and climate, she has held leadership roles across sectors, including 11 years at Microsoft and 6 years at NetHope, where she established and led the Emerging Technologies Initiative focused on AI for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including climate action. Named one of the Top 100 Women in AI Ethics in 2021, she is a strong advocate for responsible AI, gender equity, and human rights. Leila also serves on the board of the Negative Emissions Platform and the EqualVoice Advisory Board. In 2024, she was selected for the inaugural class of Bloomberg Green Champions, a group of leaders shaping the future of climate action.
