Description
Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim is an indigenous woman from the Mbororo people from Chad. She is an expert in climate change, biodiversity, land restoration, and indigenous knowledge.
She is Coordinator of the Peul Indigenous Women and Peoples Association of Chad (AFPAT), and a member of the executive committee of the Indigenous Peoples of Africa Coordinating Committee (IPACC). Hindou is also member of the FSC Indigenous Foundation Council, and the chairperson of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII).
