Description
ChloƩ Vialard is a lawyer at A&O Shearman. Shearman & Sterling and Allen & Overy officially merged on May 1, 2024 to form A&O Shearman, the world's third largest law firm. Before joining Shearman & Sterling's Singapore office in 2018, she practiced in the firm's Paris office since 2014.
ChloƩ has experience advising and representing companies and State-owned entities in international arbitrations conducted under the rules of various arbitral institutions, with a focus on Asian and African matters. She advises clients in enforcement and annulment proceedings before French courts and is an accredited mediator at the Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI).
ChloĆ© also develops collaborations with clients and other stakeholders, notably through legal pro bono, public policy, and corporate social responsibility work, including in support of non-profit organisations that help women survivors and victims of online harm. The firm received the āChampion of Goodā recognition from the Singapore National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre in its two last editions in 2020 and 2022.
ChloĆ© spearheads various diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives aimed at supporting gender equality and women and girlsā rights. She is a Women's Forum 2023 Rising Talent and a member of the Advisory Board for the Womenās Forum in Singapore. ChloĆ© was also a core member and co-coordinator of a team advising the Womenās Forum to prepare public policy proposals to promote and support women's entrepreneurship, in the context of the 2020 G7 Summit.
ChloĆ© engages as a volunteer lawyer at the Support Centre for women victims of violence among the French community in Singapore, a first-of-a-kind multi-jurisdictional pro bono partnership that she co-initiated in 2019 with the Paris Bar, the Law Society of Singapore and the Embassy of France in Singapore. She is Laureate of the 2024 edition of the āTrophĆ©es des FranƧais de lāĆ©trangerā organised by LePetitJournal.com for her contribution to this innovative framework.
ChloƩ is co-President of the Women in Business Committee at the French Chamber of Commerce Singapore and sits on its Board of Directors.
