Dr Anand Govindaluri is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Govin Capital, a Singapore-based investment company that he started in 2014 with a focus on Digital Health & Technology. Dr Anand has led more than 65 investments with 20 successful exits including 2 Unicorn exits in Biotech & Pharma.
Prior to GOVIN, Anand served as the Senior Vice President & Head of the Investment & Spin-Off Management Division at A*ccelerate Technologies, Commercialisation arm of Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore. Prior to A*ccelerate, Dr Anand was as member of the Direct Investments Life Sciences team at Temasek Holdings, Singapore. Dr Anand co-led several Biopharma and medtech investments at Temasek Holdings across the value-chain from lead sourcing, conducting due-diligence, serving on Boards of companies, and managing exits of investee companies.
Dr Anand served as President of Federation of Asian Biotech Associations (2019-2021); Advisory Board member (Biomedical Sciences) of the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research & Technology (SMART), Singapore (2011-2015), Kalam Centre (India), Investor Judge for Ideas Inc, Nanyang Technopreneurship Centre, NTU, Lee Kuan Yew Business Plan Competition organised by Singapore Management University (SMU), Startup Singapore & Startup Chile. He also served as a Panel speaker of UNESCO MGIEP’s International Conference in Education.
Dr Anand is a recipient of Asia-Pacific Innovative Education Leadership Award (2019), Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Award for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (2016), NUS Post-Graduate Research Scholarship (1997), GATE Fellow (1995) & Department of Biotechnology (DBT)-Merit Scholarship (1993). During the pandemic, Dr Anand, stepped up philanthropic efforts to supply Oxygen ventilators, Medical-grade PPEs and Complex ICU drugs for COVID-19 management across Singapore and India.
