Biography
Cynthia Illouz is an expert in CSR and gender equality. She is the founder of The Women’s Voices, a Franco-American digital media outlet and 2023 Google News Initiative laureate, recognized for its #5000Voices program amplifying the voices of women across diverse communities. Holding a PhD in Management Sciences, she teaches in several universities and top French business schools. Her academic program Gender Equality Tomorrow was labeled as an “Innovative Initiative in the Digital Age” by the French Foundation for Management Education (FNEGE). In January 2025, she published The Mazan Trial: The Deflagration, an investigative book on the Pelicot case. A recognized specialist on gender-based violence, leadership, and U.S. politics, she frequently comments on these issues in French and international media. Cynthia Illouz was named among Forbes France’s 40 Women of 2024. She also serves voluntarily as Vice President for Advocacy at UN Women France and sits on the Gender Parity Commission of the French High Council for Equality between Women and Men.
