Biography

Vania Lacascade: Global Brand President, Lancôme Appointed Global Brand President of Lancôme in July 2025, Vania Lacascade is a new luxury leader, at the crossroads of strategy, scientific innovation, and emotional intelligence. Her leadership is driven by the belief that innovation, grounded in science and cultural relevance, can shape a more meaningful and inclusive vision of beauty, serving as a powerful space for self-expression, connection, and confidence. With a Doctorate in Pharmacy and a degree from ESSEC Business School, Vania brings a hybrid intelligence, combining scientific rigor, marketing intuition, and collective leadership. She has over 20 years of experience transforming insights into impactful innovations. After seven years at LVMH (Givenchy), where she launched the first Le Soin Noir skincare line, she joined L'Oréal in 2010. She held a range of international leadership roles, including International Marketing Manager for Garnier Skincare, where she initiated the launch of Micellar Water, a global best-seller. She also headed the Garnier Marketing Hub in China and served as Deputy General Manager of The Body Shop in London. Prior to her current role, she served as a member of Lancôme's Executive Committee, leading the skincare category and driving the renovation of iconic ranges like Génifique and Absolue. In 2019, she was named Global President of Vichy Laboratoires, where she led a successful transformation that repositioned the brand’s medical authority and delivered double-digit growth. Most recently, as L’Oréal’s Chief Innovation Officer, she led the global innovation strategy, shaping the Group’s R&I agenda, prioritizing consumer insights and charting new horizons. She notably fostered an ambitious roadmap on longevity in beauty, which will now be a major pillar for Lancôme. Her leadership also strengthened beauty tech, inclusivity, and water sobriety initiatives across the Group's 4,000 scientists, driving a vision of beauty with impact. Now, as Global President of Lancôme, Vania is opening a new chapter for the brand, one that embraces a creative harmony between scientific progress and emotional resonance. A central pillar of her vision is longevity, not as a quest for youth, but as a way to support the skin’s long-term strength, resilience, and beauty. Her commitment to inclusivity is also deeply personal, rooted in her proud mixed French and Caribbean heritage, which has shaped her profound understanding of diverse identities. Her ambition is to strengthen Lancôme not only as a beauty brand but as a cultural brand: intelligent, elegant, and committed to inspiring confidence and empowering women worldwide. Vania advocates for a collaborative leadership, approaching challenges with an open mind to explore innovative paths. A mother of two teenage daughters, she is a leader driven by transformation and instinct, who moves forward with a clear objective: to build a beauty that connects, elevates, and inspires, at the crossroads of creativity, progress, and emotion.
