Biography

A Senegalese national, Marieme-Sav has studied and worked in the US, Cameroun, Spain, France, Tanzania and most recently as the Managing Director and Country Chair of TotalEnergies in Madagascar. A vocal advocate for gender equality and workplace diversity in the energy sector and beyond, she has received numerous recognitions for her leadership including Woman CEO of the Year in 2024, a Choiseul 100 Africa Laureate in 2025 and a recipient of the Madagascar’s Medal of Honor. As of September 2025, Marieme-Sav is at the helm of TotalEnergies EP Africa’s Engagement & Advocacy strategy, driving stakeholder partnerships, sustainability initiatives, and transformative policies across the continent’s energy sector. An avid art enthusiast who is fluent in multiple languages, Marieme-Sav embodies the multicultural ethos she promotes as she finds inspiration in reading and global travel.
