Biography

A Chief Heritage Curator for the City of Paris and a PhD in Art History, specializing in 17th- and 18th-century European painting, Annick Lemoine is since March 2022 Director of the Petit Palais, musée des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Paris. From 2015 to 2018, she was Scientific Director of the Festival d'Histoire de l'Art, jointly organized by the Institut National de l'Histoire de l'Art (INHA) and the Château de Fontainebleau, under the patronage of the French Ministry of Culture. Between 2010 and 2015, she headed the Department of Art History, Collections and Heritage at the French Academy in Rome – Villa Medici, where she had previously been a resident fellow. In 2009–2010, she served as Advisor to the French Minister of Culture, Frédéric Mitterrand, in charge of arts education and cultural outreach.
