Biography
Emmanuelle Piet is a public health doctor working in maternal and child protection services (PMI) in Seine-Saint-Denis, France. From early on, she made women’s health protection her calling. After studying medicine, Dr. Emmanuelle Piet quickly became involved with the Family Planning Movement, advocating for women’s rights. The Seine-Saint-Denis Departmental Council, where she practices, entrusted her with managing the family planning and contraception centers.
Since 1992, she has been actively involved as president of the Collectif Féministe Contre le Viol (CFCV) — the Feminist Collective Against Rape — whose work has contributed to significant legal progress on the issue. Emmanuelle Piet also holds a specialized consultation at the Maison des Femmes (Women’s House) in Saint-Denis.
