Biography
Francesca Donner is the founder and editor-in-chief of The Persistent, a women-focused media company, working with journalists around the world to amplify women’s voices, stories, perspectives and ideas. Launched in 2024, The Persistent examines politics, economics, business, art and culture through a women's lens.
The Persistent is one answer to the vast and complex work that remains to be done to elevate women in the world at large. It will persist as long as it takes for women to be heard, seen, and valued.
Prior to launching The Persistent, Francesca spent years in legacy news. At The New York Times, she was editor of ‘In Her Words’—a newsletter centered on women—and at The Wall Street Journal, she focused on women and the future of work.
