Biography
Élisabeth Moreno is a woman of impact,
renowned for her ability to turn challenges
into opportunities. Former French Minister
for Gender Equality, Diversity, and Equal
Opportunities, she now embodies inclusive
leadership and innovation in service of the
greater good.
Born in the Cape Verde Islands and raised
in France, she is a living symbol of resilience
and ambition. Her professional journey
began at the age of 20 when she founded
her first company in the construction and
thermal insulation sector, demonstrating
her entrepreneurial spirit and
determination to tackle challenges early on.
She went on to build an exceptional career across five continents, holding strategic positions in
renowned companies. She entered the tech sector with Orange, later joining Dell Technologies
EMEA, where she led ambitious transformation projects. In 2012, she became the CEO of Lenovo
France, and was subsequently appointed Vice President of Hewlett Packard Africa, where she
contributed to the technological and social development of the continent.
In parallel, she dedicated herself to economic justice by serving as a consular judge,
underscoring her commitment to ethical and responsible governance. Today, she leads LEIA
Partners, a firm that supports leaders and companies in their transition toward responsible and
sustainable governance models. As Chair of Ring Capital and Ring Africa, she promotes impact-
driven investment to address the economic, social, and environmental challenges of our time.
A recipient of the Legion of Honour and co-author of the book Women Ministers and Feminists,
Élisabeth Moreno sums up her mission:
“Through my journey and commitments, I strive to inspire a new generation of leaders to
combine ambition, inclusion, and impact to build a fairer and more sustainable future.”
She is also the President of the Femmes@Numérique Foundation and the founder of the La
Puissance du Lien association.
