Biography

Born in 1983 in Dijon, Burgundy, Fabien Paget is a former semi-professional tennis player turned purpose-driven sports industry leader. A graduate of KEDGE Business School in Bordeaux, Fabien brings over 25 years of experience in global sport, with notable roles at Nike and the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy. In 2012, Fabien founded O2 Management, a boutique talent representation agency managing elite athletes across tennis, football, and swimming. His client roster has included names such as Nicolas Mahut, Pierre-Hugues Herbert, Mary Pierce, Fabrice Santoro, Anthony Martial, and Frédérick Bousquet. With a mission to use sport as a platform for social change, Fabien has helped athletes define their purpose, craft personal brand strategies, and maximise their impact both on and off the field. In 2014, Serena Williams brought Fabien onto her team to help drive purpose-led partnerships, leading to initiatives such as the acclaimed “Know You Can” campaign with AXA Global Insurance Group. O2 Management also advised brands like DPD France, Weleda, and Fitbit on leveraging sport to amplify brand purpose. In 2019, Fabien Paget co-founded with - Neill Duffy - 17 Sport, a pioneering sports advisory and marketing firm operating at the intersection of sport, business and purpose. ‘17’ refers to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals from the UN’s Agenda 2030 and to Goal 17 and their belief in the power of collaboration to solve the biggest problems in the world. 17 Sport exists to solve the world’s biggest issues by unleashing the transformative power of sport into a force for good and by deploying financial capital to drive positive business and social impact outcomes. Certified B-Corp, 17 Sport enable global brands, athletes, sports properties and NGO to bring their brand purpose to life through sport and deliver positive financial, social and environmental outcomes. The company works with the likes of global brands (Sanofi, Adidas, Nissan…), properties (Olympics, NFL, UEFA, Superbowl 50), athletes (Ezra Frech, alycia Parks, Clervie Ngounoue) and NGO (Ocean Conservancy). In 2024, 17 Sport expanded its platform with the acquisition of the Women’s Sport Alliance—a global collective of over 500 female athletes designed to enhance their commercial potential and upskill them for success beyond the game. Fabien is also a guest lecturer at leading business schools including INSEAD, HEC Paris, ESSEC, and EM Lyon, where he teaches on purpose leadership and entrepreneurship. He was recently ranked #25 among the Top 100 Under 40 Leaders in French Sports Business, and is the co-author of Legacy Sport: How to Win in the Business of Sport in the Age of Social Good.
