Biography

Long version: Serena heads the Nutrition Division of Nestlé which offers solutions across every life stage, from pre-conception to healthy longevity, to promote and support lifelong health and wellbeing. Under her leadership, the Division boasts a vast portfolio that includes baby food, nutrition for children and teenagers, maternal nutrition and solutions aimed at fostering healthy longevity. Serena is responsible for shaping the overarching strategic direction of the Division at Nestlé Group level, and overseeing category strategies and priorities related to innovation, business development and growth, brand stewardship and sustainability. Serena has over 30 years experience with the Nestlé Group. She began her career in Brazil and held positions of increasing responsibility, managing diverse brands and categories, assuming general management responsibilities in Brazil, Mexico and Switzerland. Her expertise was further enhanced during her five years in Nestlé Health Science, a Division of Nestlé dedicated to medical nutrition and consumer health. Prior to assuming her current position, Serena successfully led the Nutrition business for the Zone Europe, Middle East and North Africa. Born in Brazil and a dual Brazilian and Italian national, Serena brings a rich cultural perspective to her leadership. She holds a Master of Business Management and is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, English and French allowing her to engage effectively with a global audience. Throughout her career, Serena has placed particular emphasis on creating supportive work environments, fostering a culture of shared purpose, trust and diversity. As a dedicated mentor to many young men and women, she actively helps mentees to smoothly navigate the corporate environment with confidence and achieve their full potential. She is married with two sons and lives close to Lake Geneva in Switzerland.
