Biography

Bio : Zakia, a Paralympian, is a symbol of resilience for Afghan women. Her story encourages displaced women and athletes to pursue their dreams. Originally from Afghanistan, Zakia found safety in Paris after fleeing the Taliban's rule. She continued to pursue athletics and won a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Paralympics, marking an historic win for the Refugee Paralympic Team. Now, she inspires others by sharing her journey and advocating for women and athletes with disabilities​.
