HIGHLIGHTS FROM WOMEN’S FORUM GERMANY 2022
Time to commit for inclusive solutions
Last week, we were thrilled to gather our international community in Berlin for an inspiring and impactful Women’s Forum Germany.
We welcomed 350+ high-level representatives from public institutions, the private sector, and leading international organisations, together with 46 speakers and 30 Youth Ambassadors. With hundreds more joining online, our audience represented nearly 90 countries.
We know that gender equality is critical to building an inclusive, sustainable and thriving world. That’s why, together, we called on G7 Leaders to mainstream a gender perspective in their decisions and actions, in order to achieve the objectives of Germany’s G7 Presidency.
As always, our sincere thanks to our partners for standing by our side to make this event possible and for joining us in our mission. Thank you to our inspiring speakers for sharing their insights with us and helping us to imagine forward-thinking economic and policy initiatives for societal change.
Raise women’s voices – create change.
Warm regards,
With the support of entrepreneurs, partners, and our community, the Women’s Forum has developed 10 pragmatic, action-oriented recommendations, presented in a Call to Action. We have delivered our Call to Action to all leaders of G7 countries, the President of the European Parliament, the German Federal Minister for Family Affairs, the French Ambassador to Germany, the mayor of Paris, and many more.
On June 21st, we hosted 14 plenary sessions at the French Embassy in Berlin on varied topics including women in tech, jobs of the future, the green economy and gender biases.
We welcomed 30 young leaders from around the world as part of our Youth Voices initiative at #WFGermany2022.
Our Youth Voices were divided into 5 working groups, and together they brainstormed recommendations to the G7 leaders on 5 key priorities: gender & climate action, feminist foreign policy, future of work, breaking gender bias and access to health.
We were thrilled gather 35 CEOs at our CEO Champions workshop, co-hosted by McKinsey & Company in partnership with YPO. CEO Champions a peer-to-peer network of C-level executives hailing from the world’s top public and private companies. With a commitment to on-record engagement, these industry leaders are well-positioned to assure corporate governance best practices and the advancement of gender inequality in the workplace.
With our Knowledge Partner Boston Consulting Group (BCG), the Women’s Forum Daring Circle Women4STEM has published a report on The Network Effect: How Women Beat the Odds to Get to the Top in Tech. It develops a picture of the work environment for women in tech, and provides recommendations for senior leaders, line managers, HR and DEI managers as well as for women in tech.
