The International Women’s Day is indeed a date to be celebrated. Though we have more to change, this day/month is a celebration of how far we have come. Yet we cannot dismiss the advancement of women’s rights worldwide by only remembering it on one single day. March 8th is a reminder of all the women who have fought for the recognition of women’s rights globally and for all who still fight to build an equitable future.

- Salon sYmphoNY 2025: Artist collection on display in Greenwich village, showing of NYC women and non-binary artists from around the world. There will be a collaborative “art peace”, and also presentations of songs, dance, monologues and more.
Washington, DC
- Global Mentoring Walks: Under the theme of Lighting the Path, the 1,180 walks in more than 60 countries for mentoring women is out! The series of walks brings together established and emerging women leaders from all around in the name of inspiring hope within our global communities and the future generation of women leaders.

- Celebrating Kingston Women: Celebrate the achievements of women in our community with an evening of art, performances, and storytelling.
City of Mexico, Mexico:
- Tiempo de Mujeres Festival: From March 1 to 17, 2025, Mexico City will host the Tiempo de Mujeres (Time for Women) festival, featuring over 120 activities, including a free concert in the Zócalo by international pop star Julieta Venegas on March 16.
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil:
- Rainha do Mar: The biggest event of the continent dedicated to women in sports with swimming in the sea, biathlon and running on the sand competitions.

- “Visions féminines” Exposition: An exhibition that highlights the unique views of women artists on what it means to be a woman today.

- WOW At 15 at the Royal Albert Hall: Celebrate International Women's Day at the Royal Albert Hall at an unforgettable evening marking 15 years of WOW - Women of the World - with Jude Kelly, headliner Angela Davis and guests including Annie Lennox, Sandi Toksvig, Anoushka Shankar, Errollyn Wallen, Liz Carr and Jordan Stephens.

- International Transport Forum: In 2018, the International Transport Forum decided to launch a Workstream on Gender by organizing panel sessions on International Women’s Day. This year’s online event will focus on the following topic: “Pathways to Inclusion: Women Shaping the Future of Transport.”
- Canadian Women’s Foundation: A virtual event in partnership with The Globe and Mail featuring a critical conversation on mental health challenges and solutions. Workplace stress is at an all-time high—especially for women. According to Deloitte’s 2024 global workplace study, 50% of women report higher stress levels than a year ago, and 23% say they are experiencing burnout.
- Women's Health in the Global South: Part II (Online Research Seminar): Tokyo College’s Gender, Sexuality and Identity collaborative research group is hosting two online research seminars about Women’s Health in the Global South.
