WOMEN4AI

BUILDING INCLUSIVE AI BY DESIGN

The Women4AI Daring Circle focuses on the design of Artificial Intelligence (AI) that drives inclusion, both in its development and its application. We need to create an environment where women are empowering AI, AI is empowering women, and where inclusive AI is implemented into organisations' AI practices. Our work in the Daring Circle is focused on facilitating this ecosystem transformation; through inspiring companies to act and pledge their commitment to inclusive AI whilst adopting effective policies to drive these commitments forward. We aim to create an ecosystem where AI is designed by diverse teams and governed appropriately, so that AI can become a powerful asset to right existing disparities and shape a more inclusive world. Since Artificial intelligence has a growing influence on the way we work and live, AI will only fulfil this potential if everyone has an equal share in its development and adoption. The Daring Circle is in collaboration with L’Oréal, BNP Paribas, Publicis Groupe, AXA, Bayer, Société Générale, ExxonMobil, Numeum and Clifford Chance. , HEC as an Academic Partner and the Oxford Internet Institute as an expert.

WOMEN4BUSINESS

ACCELERATING ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT AND INCLUSION

The Women4Business Daring Circle is committed to promoting and accelerating women’s economic empowerment in business and supply chains. It highlights the crucial role of women’s entrepreneurship and leadership for an inclusive economic recovery. Entrepreneurship is a ready route towards both economic empowerment and growth. If women and men participated equally as entrepreneurs, global GDP could rise by up to 6%, or $5 trillion[1]. Diversity in supply chains offers a real value, increasing access to innovation and resilience within companies. Yet, the gender gap in supply chain and entrepreneurship remains disproportionately large today. Women entrepreneurs rarely have equal opportunities to compete for large contracts, and face more challenges in scaling and sustaining their businesses. The Women4Business Daring Circle is led by P&G, in collaboration with BNP Paribas, ExxonMobil, L’Oréal, Publicis Groupe, Standard Chartered and Mazars. The Circle is supported by Knowledge Partner Kearney, Insight Partner Clifford Chance, Institutional Partner WEConnect International, Expert Member IFC, and HEC as Academic Partner, along with a diverse network of experts and corporate champions.

WOMEN4CLIMATEACTION

SCALABLE AND INCLUSIVE CLIMATE ACTION

The Women4ClimateAction Daring Circle promotes initiatives and solutions empowering women to lead actions against climate change and accelerate the transition to a greener economy, whilst raising awareness about the ways in which gender and climate intersect. Climate change has differentiated and disproportionate negative effects on women, who make up 80% of climate refugees, for example. However, our focus should not be on women and other disadvantaged groups as climate victims. On the contrary, their perspectives, skills and vision are crucial to drive progress and implement successful and inclusive adaptation and mitigation strategies to tackle climate change. At the same time, a comprehensive transition to a greener economy is an opportunity to accelerate progress towards gender equality and economic empowerment for everyone. The Daring Circle is led by BNP Paribas, in collaboration with AXA, P&G, Microsoft and Engie. The Circle is supported by KPMG as Knowledge Partner, with contributions from CARE France, ClimateSeed, Ministère de la transition écologique, International Transport Forum; and HEC Paris as Academic Partner.

WOMEN4HEALTH

IMPROVING THE FUTURE OF WOMEN’S HEALTH

The Women4Health Daring Circle aims to improve women’s health and to explore unique and paramount ways to enhance their health status and their quality of life. Women represent 70% of the global health and social care [1], and carry out more than 75% of unpaid care work globally [2]. However, women have always had to overcome many barriers to get full access to healthcare. Lack of reliable and gender-disaggregated data and in pertinent research on female specific diseases is a burning question that leads to a risk of misdiagnosis and consequently improper treatment. In order to address this pressing issue, the Daring Circle analyses the changes that have to be undertaken in health systems to establish a healthy life for women and the conditions that allow them to make optimal health choices. Therefore, the Daring Circle focuses on tackling female health needs by providing innovative and efficient strategies and key solutions that can be conceived integrating women’s leadership, including in developing and deploying new technology. The Women4Health Daring Circle is led by AXA in collaboration with Standard Chartered, WHO and Miye.
